Quiche Lorraine a la Dried Beef

A delicious breakfast or dinner entree. Serve warm or cold with a spring lettuce mix drizzled with a light balsamic vinaigrette!


Yield 4-6 Servings
1 pie shell, frozen
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 teaspoon olive oil
4 ounces Knauss Dried Beef, diced
1 cup asiago, shredded
4 eggs
2 cups whole milk
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Precook pie shell 5-7 minutes, with pie weights. This will ensure that the crust is properly cooked through once the custard mixture is added. While crust is baking heat 1 teaspoon olive oil over medium heat and saute onions until soft, about 5 minutes.
